Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, because everyone else seems to love the food. I had the ham and turkey sandwich, and he had the italian sub with clam chowder. The bread on my turkey sandwich was dry. And they didn't fill the sandwich out to the edges, so I had a few flavorless bready bites before I got to the middle. The Italian sub was good, but the clam chowder was soooo fishy. It was kind of unappetizing. The black tea bubble tea was good--sweet but not overly sweet. It was more like a slushy, which was different. The inside of the cafe was really quiet, even during the lunch hour. But it had a serene feeling that would be good for getting work done.

This is a perfect place for road warriors and a great departure from the more 'standard' coffee shops we all find ourselves working in. The layout is a mix between coffee shop and restaurant, so you have plenty of space to work and it's not too loud. It also doesn't feel too restaurant-like, so you can feel comfortable staying for a few hours. The food is also pretty good, so you can stop by at 10 and stick around through lunch. I had the greek salad with chicken added and would recommend it.

Excellent place. Now they have a full menu. They have like 6 tap beers (all good ones, not miller or bud crap, but microbrews.

JJ's is a neighborhood favorite! Their wine and beer list and pairings are extensive. The cheese platters and flatbread pizzas are great. I love to sit with friends in their cozy booths. I went to the best wine tasting of my life at this place. The instructor was very knowledgable. The owners are very friendly and the waitstaff attentive.

Ohhh! I am totally going here tonight with a couple girl friends (preplanned girls night)! I actually used to work at a coffee shop with the Store Manager (Jenny). She is such an upbeat, stylish and outgoing person, this cafe completely suits her. Her personality reflects in her employees attitudes. The service is great, staff is friendly. Not only can you order coffee... But you can order a glass of wine and even have a bite to eat! A very warm, clean and inviting setting. JJ's has a wide range of seating options. Bar, booth, table, comfy furniture, or you can even grab a seat outside on the patio. If you need your coffee to go, there is even drive through window for your convenience! If you have not been here, I must insist you try it!

Easy to miss this little gem amongst coffee shops in Eden Priarie. I like the cozy atmosphere and the friendly service. It is an excellent spot for a business meeting or to grab a quick coffee to go. Their specialty drinks are just plain good. I am looking forward to trying their bubble teas. But waiting for warmer weather!

As much as Dunn Bros is great, I honestly hate how I walk out smelling like coffee beans. So where to for a great study spot and coffee? I'm now at JJ's, crushing this White Mocha and surfing away in this comfortable booth. Coffee prices are awesome by the way, no more than $4 for a mocha (screw you Starbucks and Caribou). What an interesting concept. Light fare eats and great coffee. Being somewhere who can work from anywhere, I love the high walled booths and two outlets. JJ's clearly knows who they want to attract, folks who study, hang out, and grab a bite. Perfect for a quick lunch meeting or the student who needs an easy spot to study. Nice vibe, awesome service. A great gem in EP.

I'm basing this on the daytime coffee experience, not the Wine Bar portion. I've yet to go in the evenings. Atmosphere for a coffee shop 6 stars! Quiet and peaceful, with amazing booths. A wonderful place to sit and chat with somebody for casual hang out or serious business reasons. The food selections at brunch time were really uninspired. I definitely wouldn't go if your main interest was "a bite". The coffee... was unfortunately marginal. I wish it lived up to the atmosphere and the fact that Coffee is part of the name of the place. The service was friendly but seriously lacking. For instance, on our first visit, the woman we ordered from couldn't answer some simple questions about the menu. After not knowing the answer she just stood there. We had to prompt her to see if perhaps somebody else might know. Then two of them were fussing over who should be making the cappuccino, not in a "I don't want to work" kind of way, but in a "I'm not sure how to do it" way. Finally a third woman made the drink. Shouldn't everybody behind the counter be able to make all the coffee drinks? In my book, they should, so stars off for that. I go back for the setting. I'd go more often if they offered the whole package. At some point I'll give the wine bar aspect a try and see how that goes. I'd have tried it a lot sooner if the coffee experience was smoother.

This is a great little place. I haven't had their coffee yet, but had a chance to try some of their wines. I tried the intriguing white wine flight, all were excellent. Will definitely be back.

This is the place to go! My husband and I left after our first trip to JJ's and said, "we want to be regulars". We have been back many times since... It is a clean, cozy shop. Though tucked in the back of a strip mall, hard to find, I think it adds to the appeal, because you feel like you know about something that no one else does... The booths are amazing. Each one has a dimmer switch so you can go from study booth by day to romantic booth my night. Each booth also has an outlet, no more needing to bring an extension chord to plug your Dell labtop in. The coffee is fantastic and fun. The wine is even more delicious. They have a great selection... I think it is hard to find a quaint, fun wine bar these days--JJ's is the place!

We tried stopping here for Sunday brunch and left before we ordered any food. The hostess was rude and unfriendly. Despite us making a reservation and requesting a highchair there were not any available. It took 5 minutes for a server to show up and then another 10 for our coffee to come out. The place wasn't even that busy. We left before our kid's smoothie came out and paid for a marginal $5 latte. Won't be back which is a shame.

I stopped by JJ's for study hour happy hour on a Wednesday afternoon. Beautiful little cafe. I'm not a wine expert, and all I ate was cheese, so this review is based primarily on experience. Happy hour is a great inexpensive treat - $4 house wine! The patio is shaded nicely, but I ended up with quite a few seeds on my lap from the surrounding trees. Additionally, the patio faces a fairly busy road. Not terribly intrusive, but there is some noise attributed to that. Music on the patio is nice. I had two different servers, must have been a shift change. But both were friendly and polite. I was not rushed or pressured to order more.

Pros: The wine was quite good, and the entree portions were large. I would probably give the cocktail menu a try if I went back (for dinner). Cons: The service was not good. There is a difference between slow service and poor service. When the restaurant is not busy at all for a weekend dinner and you're waiting for twenty minutes for a wine refill while are wiping glasses behind the bar, that's poor service. The food took quite a while, but it was quite good and tasted homemade. Starters were very overpriced for the portion size. Overall, I would give it a chance again for coffee with a friend, maybe, but for dinner and drinks, you can go almost anywhere else for better food, drinks and service for a lower cost.

I thought it was great! Nice relaxed atmosphere with global chill music. Food was very good with good sized portions. The wine selection was decent although I was a little disappointed at a selection of wine that I wanted they didn't have it by the glass. The were charging $85 for a $38 bottle of wine..... I only know this because I actually went to that winery in California. Other than that I like the place so I will be going back. I tried the oven roasted Italian Flatbread which was delicious. I also tried the Hangover burger which consisted of a thick patty, American cheese, fried egg, red onions, and thick savory bacon with hot sauce to give it a kick. This burger is huge so don't order it if you aren't all that hungry. I liked it though so I will definitely be back. Our service was great too!

JJ's is a great place in EP that I'll be visiting a lot more on the weekends! The Cafe MJ and Southwestern breakfast sandwich were pretty good and what I was looking for to start my Saturday. Next time though I'll go for my usual espresso, since the MJ was a little sweet for me. I'm excited to try the rest of their menu at some point, and those wine flights! Happy hour, here I come. This place is also incredibly spacious, laid back, and a classy step up from the other coffee shops I tend to frequent. There's dark wood and leather everywhere, comfy booths with private outlets and dimmer switches. Perfect for hanging out for an hour or two. Side note: They must have stolen my "I need to go to bed NOW" sleep-inducing playlist. It's all the Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Sara Bareilles, Josh Radin, and breathy Iron & Wine you could ask for. I'm sure Norah Jones will come on at some point in the next hour! (Scratch that: Come Away With Me actually came on as I was typing that last sentence...) I love how chill it is here. It's super quiet before 10:30am on weekends! After that, a LOT of moms/families/groups show up here, so it starts getting a little louder.

Used to be our favorite spot. Service has never been great but we enjoyed a drink and some apps. Since the menu change and new food choices it seems as though the price is way higher than the food deserves. Last visit had terrible service and food and made a co plaint to the owners. Nhs response was not short of ego driven. We were blamed and excuses were made. It left a very ishy feeling. Nice never had that type of response from a manager let alone an owner. It's sad, we really liked to sit at the bar and have a few drinks.

JJ's in EP is a cozy place to chill with a cup-o-joe or a glass (or 3) or wine. They have a bar, some booths, tables, and comfy chairs by the TV image of a fireplace. Outdoor patio space is also available for those sunny days. The wine selection is nice. They offer four $14 wine flights, two red and two white. Or, for $17, you can create your own wine flight. They provide 3 oz pours, which is a nice amount. While enjoying the vino, you can choose from a variety of menu options such as salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, and my personal favorite: cheese. Each day they offer a selection of about 4 cheeses from which to choose. On my visit, they had about 50% soft cheeses (my preferences) and 50% hard cheeses. I'm not going to claim that it was the best brie or gorganzola I've ever had but it was certainly good and paired well with the wine. The cheese plate also came with marinated olives, which was nice. It would be best if they offered some jams or fruits with the cheese but it did at least come with crackers. The service was kinda relaxed in that the bartender seemed to be taking care of the bar as well as several tables. It took a bit initially to get attention but we were provided with good service for the rest or our stay. The chilled out vibe of the restaurant was a nice change from some of the hyped bar scenes in other areas. I would definitely return to JJ's to try more wines and a few more food items next time I'm in the area.

If you consider yourself a wine snob and are moderately deaf then this is the place for you. If you are more of a wine geek (you know who you are) and you enjoy good wine regardless of the label and you don't drink with your pinky finger extended then move on. Btw: Place is under a fitness center that apparently caters to the morbidly obese. Our entire visit was punctuated with whump-whump-whump of what was either a very large (and determined) runner on a treadmill or some sort of 40mm AAA canon. ...and as far as food,, the portions are not small, they are tiny.

  • Mark M.

Ignored for the last 30 minutes of our visit. Empty wine glass on the table. 3 different servers walked by more than once. Had to go to the bar to get my check. Wine selection was below average. First and last trip here.

Perfect little coffee shop conveniently located. I really like this place, even with the half dozen coffee shop options nearby. They have excellent food, not just coffee, wines, three tap beers and a relaxing atmosphere. I really like the bar/ coffee shop duo, it keeps me coming back at all hours of the day. Overall, I'm really glad we have this in our neighborhood, and I hope they stick around! Make sure to check out the happy hour!

Wow. Just don't know what to think. First visit since they've remodeled and turned more restaurant/bar than coffee shop. The outside of the building is basic, unattractive. They have new chairs covered with white fabric (always iffy) in the coffee area. We announced we were there for happy hour and were ushered into the new section, a large room that is oppressively dark (at least at 5 in the evening). It was a beautiful warm sunny September afternoon and we were instantly plunged into a cave. There is a floor to ceiling dark blue brocaded curtain totally blocking out any light, probably so that the 40s movie playing on the wall, silently, (Its a Wonderful Life-in Sept, really?) showed up better. There is a giant mirror on one of the walls. It was so dark I had to strain mightily to read the menu. The server even said "I personally think its too dark in here", yeah,me, too. Why they would want to eliminate any light, especially in Minnesota, not sure. I would have much rather been seated in the coffee area but figured to stick it out in what appears to be the dining room. We had a coupon for two bucks off a cocktail. The cocktail list was innovative if not a little weird (gin mixed with champagne, anyone?) More expensive , ranging from around 8 to 12 bucks even during happy hour. Decent wine list. Full service bar. We had a couple happy hour priced flatbreads. The first one, the Marguerite, was your basic tomato and fresh mozzarella set up. Why they would use supermarket tomatoes when we are the height of fresh Heirloom season is beyond me. We also tried the roasted garlic and sausage version. They have each square with one slice of sausage which appears stingy. For a much better effect, they should have chopped the sausage and sprinkled it evenly. Even worse, the garlic was NOT roasted, was raw and cut in big pieces. Some of it was hard to eat due to the quantity and hot harshness of the raw garlic. I asked the server if it was indeed roasted, she said she'd check, when she came back later, she never gave us our answer and I didn't push it being as it was time for the tab. I suggest removing the curtain, leave the movie on the wall til nightfall and getting a better chef in the kitchen. For the prices, ambience and quality,I would rather go to one of the many more commercial bar restaurants in the area. Too bad. I only give it the third star because I like to see small places succeed and hope they can turn this around.

Cool place. I wasn't too impressed by the food ( pizzas and sandwiches and salads) but the spinach artichoke dip with pepper jack is sooooo good! It's like the only thing I want to eat when I go here. It's a little spicy but I can't tolerate a ton of spice and I think it's perfect!

This is a review for people who don't drink wine. I didn't care for it. I had some sort of turkey, cranberry sandwich that had good flavor but was truly too small and not worth the price. My Sprite ( I am so wild ) was warm and didn't have any ice. So, for someone who doesn't consume alcohol, this place didn't offer me much. I think it's probably more enjoyable if you're into vino.

Coffee place by day and wine bar after dark. Yes that's JJ's. I've seen advertisements about this place and finally stopped by for a glass of wine after work. I was pleasantly surprised. Comfortable, relaxing, casual and fun. I think I would use all those words to describe JJ's. Nice cozy booths inside with dimmer switches in each one and outlets if you come during the day with your laptop. The food is "light fare" with mostly appetizers, flatbread pizza's and a few salads on the menu. I was tempted to try the "crispy lavosh" which came in 3 varieties but opted for the chopped salad. Service very attentive and friendly. This is a great place to meet some friends and have a little "chit-chat". You can actually hear each other and carry on a conversation. I was most impressed with the selections of beers (even though I don't like beer). They had 27 varieties of bottled beer to choose from. Plus 5 specialty beers and 3 beers on tap. Equally large wine list by the glass. For those of you who have trouble making a drink selection have no fear..... for each food item on the menu they list a suggested wine or beer to choose from. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Don't be surprised if you can't find it right away because it tucked away in a little strip mall. As you walk in they have a listing of dates for "live" music too. Try it out....day or night.

This is my favorite coffee shop in town! Great coffee (the owner has her own locally roasted beans.) Great service - everyone is very helpful and personable. It's also substantially less noisy than other coffee shops, so it's a great place to have a meeting or conversation with a friend. Excellent pastries for breakfast, and an excellent lunch menu.

A great place to come for a "small plate" kind of dinner. I highly recommend the14 Hands Chardonnay, light, crisp and not too sweet with green apple and pear undertones. Pepperjack Spinach and Artichoke dip was served with chips and herbed flatbread trianges. Expected a little spice from the pepperjack, but was still very pleased with the overall taste. The Original Crispy Lavosh was also cheesy goodness. All tables were full on a Friday night, this is a great place to meet the girls or for a date night. Service was still as attentive and friendly as my last mid-day visit.

I need to get to Eden Prairie more often. If only to visit this place. It's got a cozy and yet upscale feel to the atmosphere, without being pretentious. There's a great wine selection, and their beer selection seemed pretty decent. At least it was according to my beer-drinking friend. The spicy spinach and artichoke dip is yammers and they've got some pretty tasty flatbread pizzas.

Amazing! Our whole family loves this place. Not only do they have the best food and beverages, they have an amazing team that makes everyone feel welcome. Even when they are super busy, they always have a smile and the quality is still superb. Quite honestly I was not expecting such an extensive menu, but the quality is even more impressive. I highly recommend JJ's!

This is MY coffee shop of choice. Many options around the area to grab a cup, but I will drive out of my way for JJ's. The atmosphere inside is excellent, I often bring work here because of the setting. Very easy to concentrate on conversation or work because of the quietness.

JJ's is a great place to grab a cup of coffee... This locally owned newcomer offers a full menu of coffee and tea based drinks and has great staff as well. If you can't decide what you want, they have give you some recommendations and come up with something for you. They also have plenty of comfortable seating and free wi-fi. The booths all have their own electrical outlets above the table as well as a dimmer for the light in the booth. This is a great place to go grab a drink and do a little work during the day. They also sell beer and wine; however, I have not been over there at night. The beer and wine selection seems pretty solid though.

I still had some money on a gift card, so I decided to revisit JJ's for a glass of wine. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by how cozy the place was at night and how lovely the vibe was of the place. There were tables of ladies chatting and laughing, couples cozied up to each other, and a handful of single folks sipping a drink and reading books. I enjoyed a mini of Mumm sparkling wine and caught up on a few emails. I think I'll be back :)

The worst service ever. we stood at the door and waited forever. the server seated us and didnt bring any menus or water. The food is overpriced for what it actually is, but tastes decent
